Our Mission Statement                                           
ShamRockersUSA, Inc., a premier Teen Running and International Travel Club, was created to coach kids about the physical determination required to cross a Finish Line and the fiscal responsibility of covering their expenses through skilled fundraising. As the creator of this program, I believe kids will not only develop better physical fitness habits, and a broad global perspective, but also a higher regard for themselves by becoming responsible young adults.

Every year, new young runners may become ShamRockers simply by registering for one of our Summer Graduate Programs or our Youth and Teen Fall Programs. Every year, new races are added to our itinerary, such as Expedition Everest in June, the Disney Women's Half Marathon in March...and the ALL NEW Wine & Dine Half Marathon Night Relay in October 2010!

Hey, why are races always called "5k" or "10k"...and how long is a marathon?

Great question!! Races are measured in kilometers (1,000 meters and a meter is roughly 3 feet).
                  1k = .62 miles      5k = 3.1 miles      10k = 6.2 miles      13k = 8.06 miles     
                          Half Marathon = 13.1 miles                  Marathon = 26.2 miles
